Hi everyone, winter is making itself at home here in Auckland and it gets colder each day!! Instead of a themed month, I’ll be giving you all a mixed bag of titles this month. What kind of titles you ask? Well, you’re going to have to check below to find out more…
Oh, hello, you made it!! I was wondering who would end up here. Well, for your reading pleasure this month I’ll be reviewing three completely different titles with not much in common except for one little thing, they spoke of the immense courage we have as individual humans on this planet. One is about a unique little boy, another about a teen girl who faces something incredible and the last one is a biography I found quite by chance. Any of these spark any interest for you? Hope you stick around to find out!!
My last week will be a somewhat slightly different post. I’ll be discussing the importance of classical children’s reads with you and my thoughts on them. I’ve had quite a few parents come up to me in the library asking me about classics and my recommendations for their seven-year-old who has an advanced reading age or their ten-year-old who prefers comic books instead of ‘proper books’. Yes, these are actual scenarios I’ve had to find answers for. So, if you want to find out what I would love to say to these lovely parents, you’ll find my post with my thoughts at the end of this month!!
Have a good June!
Stay safe and keep reading
Miss Mahee
