Your Task Friends, if you wish to accept, is to delve ahead and figure out what kind of detective stories I have coming up this month. Are you ready? Got your hat and magnifying glass with you? Good… onwards then…
Were you followed? Blink twice if no. Good, you’re in.
Well, detective stories are quite the fashion these days, according to my 11-year-old niece anyway. The family had a movie night a while back and the kids were treated to the 2007 Nancy Drew movie. Suffice to say, despite the initial scary music and spooky feel, they all enjoyed the movie and Miss Eleven told me she preferred to read a few different titles if possible please. Miss Eleven is not so little anymore, standing about a fraction of an inch near my head, and when she makes up her mind, well, we tend to comply. So, what did her librarian aunty do? I only went and dug up a few of my reviews and well… the posts this month are the result.
In staying true to my niece’s requests, this month’s posts are all tween titles. Whether contemporary or historical, I found a few that I hope you all enjoy along with her. If you’re wondering if the Nancy Drew books will be featured this month…you’ll just have to wait and see. So friends, sit back and get yourself ready for a month of mystery and tween detectives!
Stay safe and keep reading
