Dear diary… it’s June now

Hi there, it’s the beginning of June! I hope everyone has slumbered out of lockdown alright. Down here in New Zealand we’ve just come out of our lockdown period and easing back into ‘normal’ life. With all the changes that have taken place, both outside of my world as the seasons shift and inside myself, I wanted to change up my selections for this month. A letter to my younger self

Hi there, everyone! In keeping with the whole ‘time-slip’ theme, I had a thought to write a letter to my younger self from twenty years ago. I know, the whole concept of “time-travel” is mostly science-fiction, but it seems like a good exercise to re-evaluate my purpose in life. And these challenging times we live in now, seemed quite appropriate to try this task! So…here goes…

My own family history

Hi everyone, seeing as I’m celebrating family history stories, I thought I should share a wee bit about my own family history. Although I live and work in New Zealand now, my story begins in a small rural town in Sri Lanka back in the 1970’s where my parents began their married lives.
