Hi everyone, I hope you all are enjoying this little journey through the dark and twisted side of tween fiction reads. If you liked the last two weeks’ posts then you might enjoy this week’s one. It’s not just about one story, this delightful book I found is a compilation of short stories, all set to the tune of horror. And truth be told, not for the faint of heart either!!

Title: The cabinet of curiosities: 36 tales of brief and sinister
Author: Stefan Bachmann, Katherine Catmull, Claire Legrand, Emma Trevayne
Genre: Fiction – short stories
Publication details: Greenwillow Books, 2014
ISBN: 9780062313157
What this book is about: The cabinet of curiosities is a collection of eerie, mysterious, intriguing, and very short stories presented by the cabinet’s esteemed Curators. You will find an introduction and commentary by all the curators and the whole book is filled with illustrations and decorations.
My review: An interesting and dark collection. Fans of the Gothic nature of fiction will love this compilation of stories. Spine-tingling ghost stories, crazy love stories, creepy stories, you name it, all the weird tales of trees and flowers coming alive… of witches and the Sandman… of murdering shadows… they’re all there!! Be warned, don’t go reading this at night under the blankets, or if you scare easy!! And no, this is not me giving things away either!!
My rating: 4 ⭐
