My review: A really good story!! I like how reading stories like these make me feel as if I’m going to bump into the two friends, Lizzie and Bee, around the corner as they felt so real. Some excellent writing from this author!! I did feel as if the harsh truth of the tragedy that lay hidden was a bit raw and made it difficult reading for me. Despite this I felt this story was one worth reading. More often we hear of families torn apart after tragedies but I really like how Conway managed to keep these families together and showed their vulnerability and versatility in the face of obstacles, especially the adults!! Just a small note though: this story’s main themes might be better suited for older readers.
My rating: 4 ⭐
