Celebrate nature this July

Hello everyone, this cold month of July I would like to bring to your attention the plight of our natural world. Yes, it’s cold here in New Zealand!! Winter has arrived bringing rainy days and  cold nights. Yet the beauty I see in my natural surroundings never ceases to amaze me. So let’s get a cup of coffee, sit somewhere comfy and find out what this month’s reads are all about…

Let’s celebrate our natural world

It’s mainly to do with conservation in general and preservation of our natural world. Whether you think of animals or nature, don’t you think it’s worth fighting for its preservation? Well, the young protagonists in the selected reads for this month seem to be thinking about this. From award-winning authors to ardent animal lovers, the reads this month will take you around the world and feature different animals and habitats, and the strong young people who dare to fight for the protection of these worlds. Conservation is something I believe in strongly as the future of our planet is in the hands of the young children of today. I hope these reads can give your tween a starting point to have a conversation about what they can do with either their parents or teachers about protecting our natural world.

Hope you enjoy your reading!! If anyone has any other suggestions I would love to hear from you!!
