Welcome to July

Hi everyone, welcome to the colder month of July. It’s quite cold here in Auckland, and at times wet!! Despite the bleakness of the weather, we enjoy the warmth inside our homes and I always look forward to snuggling down with a good book!! To find out more about my selections you’re going to have to be brave and press the button below… go on then…

To be honest, I needed some additional time to organise my selections for the second half of the year so I thought I’d give you a mixed selection of reviews for this month. Most of these titles are some I found quirky with some hilarious or inspirational characters. The teen book I’m including is one that got me thinking as I read it. You’ll have to wait until it comes up to decide if you agree with me or not!! And lastly, the adult memoir I found was one that I remembered long after I read it. I remember recommending it to one of the customers who came to the library I work in as well. I recall that they were quite pleased with my suggestion .

So friends, that’s what this month holds for you. I hope you stay until the end and read all of the reviews.

Stay safe and keep reading

An inspirational quote

This quote here is actually something that my manager, Dave, is telling me. He is an advocate of being your true and authentic self, so I’d love to give him a big shout out here and a massive thank you for being in my life!!
