What this book is about: This delightful tome is an ode to all things bookish – a compendium of essays, poems, photos, quotations, and illustrations. Prepare to lose yourself in its pages containing beautiful, contemporary artwork depicting the pleasures of books, learn how to get even more reading done from best-selling author Gretchen Rubin, or peruse award-winning and independent bookstore owner Ann Patchett’s 25 favourite books. If you’re a book lover, this book is definitely meant for you.
My review: This was by far one amazing, gorgeous little book on the love of reading!! The illustrations with all things literary and reading filled by heart to the brim and the three essays by a few of the finest minds of literature kept me transfixed until the very end. I found myself turning to the quotes included every now and then until the day I had to return it to the library. It’s not the biggest read, I more or less finished it in a day, but it’s one of those books you’ll find yourself reaching for over and over again.
My rating: 5 ⭐
