What this book is about: Lynfield Middle school is ready for the best night ever, including a live, televised performance by Heart Grenade, the all-girl group being honoured for winning a Battle of Bands contest. Four classmates can’t wait to make the most of the night. Two can’t be there and vow to find a way in. And one girl is out to ruin everything. Will this one crazy night live up to the hype? Or will it end in total disaster?

My review: This was by far one of the most hilarious and coolest books I’ve read so far. Almost as if it was seven stories at once mashed together. A unique collaboration between seven authors with unique and distinct voices that give this book a feel like no other. I liked all of the characters; even nasty Jade who was up to no good. My heart went out to Ellie and Genevieve, but laughed my head off to what Tess and Ashlyn got up to. A great story with a hilarious cast of characters and description. Loved the author interviews at the end as well. An awesome school story!!

My rating: 4 ⭐
