These few extra titles I found took me across Europe; climbing the Alps, walking on cobbled streets in the Italian countryside and racing across hidden places of London. Although I haven’t been to all of Europe over my travels, every time I read travel stories, I find myself transported there. Hope you enjoy these titles!!

Hi everyone, seeing as I’m celebrating family history stories, I thought I should share a wee bit about my own family history. Although I live and work in New Zealand now, my story begins in a small rural town in Sri Lanka back in the 1970’s where my parents began their married lives.

Hello all, this week my review is about a group of stories featuring a pair of sisters from Austria who find safety in the wild coast of Sweden during the Second World War. I hadn’t realised that the child evacuation program they had in those years had extended to different countries until I read this book. Stories of siblings along based on historical events always tug at my heartstrings so I hope you enjoy my review below!

Hi everyone, this first week’s post is about two stories that focus on children who were evacuated into the countryside during those first few years of World War Two in England. The small family unit they create and the story that followed was very poignant and heartfelt. If you like me have an affinity towards these type of stories then these stories are meant for you!
